Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Hematology / Oncology Physician Assistant for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity begins on Jan 2, 2026, and features 12-hour shifts with a flexible mix of days and nights, scheduled based on the hospital’s coverage needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability in managing newly diagnosed patients, cancer survivors, and supporting end-of-life decision making.

  • Provider Type Needed : Hematology / Oncology Physician Assistant
  • Schedule : 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm); mix of days and nights with flexibility required per hospital coverage gaps

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage newly diagnosed hematology / oncology patients and cancer survivors
  • Conduct patient screenings
  • Participate in end-of-life decision making and support
  • Write and manage chemotherapy orders
  • Perform bone marrow biopsies (preferred)
  • Adapt to changes in shift assignments and schedules as needed

    • Additional Information

  • Must hold a current New York license
  • Board certification in Hematology required
  • Flexibility to work both day and night shifts is non-negotiable
