Forklift Operator

Hamilton Connections is hiring Forklift Operators for a busy plastics manufacturing company located in East Longmeadow, MA. We are looking for skilled forklift operator to move product and materials around the facilities. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. The company is growing and looking to expand their logistics staff!

Evening Shift - $18/hr plus bi-weekly attendance bonus

12 hr shift (rotating 36 hr/48 hr/36 hr/48 hr) 6:45 pm - 7:15 am

Responsibilities

· Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places

· Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment

· Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies

· Transport raw materials to production workstations

· Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance

· Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs

· Comply with company policies and legal guidelines

· Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities

Skills

· Proven experience as forklift operator

· Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment

· Excellent physical condition and coordination

Job Duties:

· Load and unload trucks

· Move and stack materials

· Keep production lines supplied with empty containers and packaging materials as needed

· General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned

· Follow current good warehousing practice

· Perform proper forklift inspections and follow forklift operating guidelines and procedures
