Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting division is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client in South Reno on a contract/temporary basis. This position is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in managing complex payables. The role requires an individual who can handle high-volume invoice processing while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Process 300-400 invoices per month, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Perform three-way matching for invoices, purchase orders, and receipts when applicable.
• Manage accrual reports at month-end for outstanding items not included in automated reporting.
• Communicate with vendors to confirm payment schedules and address inquiries in a courteous and approachable manner.
• Handle intercompany transactions across 50-60 entities, ensuring proper allocation and documentation.
• Allocate expenses and costs accurately across multiple departments or entities.
• Utilize accounting software such as Great Plains Dynamics and MS Excel.
• Process payments through ACH and check runs, ensuring timely disbursements.
• Assist with coding invoices and account coding to maintain organized and transparent financial records.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to complex payables, demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
• Proficiency in managing high-volume invoice processing and complex payables.
• Strong understanding of three-way matching for invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.
• Experience with intercompany transactions and expense allocation.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Great Plains Dynamics is a plus!
• Ability to handle ACH payments and check runs efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills for vendor interactions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
