About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Salesforce Developer with 7 to 12 years of experience to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable Salesforce solutions. As a technical leader, you will architect and deliver enterprise-grade Salesforce platforms, mentor junior developers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. This role is remote within the U.S., with occasional travel to our client site in Richmond, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect & Implement Solutions : Design and deliver complex Salesforce solutions to meet enterprise business and technical requirements.
- Lead Development : Develop Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura components, and custom integrations, ensuring best practices and performance optimization.
- Code Quality : Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaboration : Work with enterprise architects, product owners, and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and solution designs.
- Deployment & DevOps : Manage deployment processes using Gearset, Salesforce DX, CI / CD pipelines, and Git-based version control.
- Integration : Integrate Salesforce with external systems using MuleSoft, REST / SOAP APIs, OAuth, and SSO.
- Mentorship : Mentor and support mid-level and junior developers in technical and career growth.
- Compliance : Ensure adherence to Salesforce governance limits, security best practices, and data protection policies.
- Performance Monitoring : Proactively monitor and optimize system performance.
- Documentation : Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for customizations, integrations, and deployments.
Must-Have Skills
Salesforce Expertise : Extensive experience with Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud.Technical Proficiency : Expert-level skills in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.Integrations : Proven experience with Salesforce integrations via MuleSoft, Heroku, REST / SOAP APIs, and third-party middleware.Architecture : Strong knowledge of Salesforce architecture, data modeling, and security model.DevOps : Hands-on experience with Gearset, Salesforce DX, CI / CD pipelines, and Git.Integration Patterns : Familiar with OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSO, and integration best practices.Leadership : Demonstrated ability to lead development teams and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions.Communication : Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with Salesforce Shield, Event Monitoring, and platform encryption.Exposure to Heroku, MuleSoft, or other middleware platforms.Familiarity with additional Salesforce Clouds (Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Experience Cloud, Agentforce).Knowledge of Salesforce AppExchange, managed / unmanaged packages, and custom metadata types.Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments with tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, and Slack.Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer II, Application Architect, System Architect, etc.)Additional Details
