Democracy Fund is a dynamic, mission-driven philanthropy with a staff of more than 75 people that is committed to centering racial equity in both its external strategies and internal operations. Becoming a valued partner to the leadership team will require understanding the organization, listening, facilitating broad collaboration, and sharing insights and contemporary best practices regarding talent. The call to action is to build strong relationships and processes, to further develop the capabilities of all leaders and managers across the organization, and to bring the people organization to a level of operational excellence that enables talent development, retention, and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of HR professionals and be hands-on, proactive, flexible, collaborative, and innovative in shepherding initiatives that attract, develop, and retain outstanding talent.
• Become a valued partner to the leadership team by understanding the organization, listening, facilitating broad collaboration, and sharing insights and contemporary best practices regarding talent.
• Build strong relationships and processes to develop the capabilities of all leaders and managers across the organization and bring the people organization to a level of operational excellence that enables talent development, retention, and growth.
