REPORTS TO : Food & Beverage Director

FLSA STATUS : Part-time / On call, hourly, Non-Exempt

Summary : ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has immediate part-time / on call openings for a Banquet Captain. This position supervises and coordinates activities of banquet servers during banquets to ensure that food is served promptly. Regular attendance in conformance with the policies established by ASM Global is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Consults with Food & Beverage Manager regarding serving arrangements and if additional employee and equipment are required for a smooth event.
• Oversees Food and Beverage operations during event to ensure client satisfaction and quality control standards.
• Observes food being served to ensure that food is correctly garnished and arranged.
• Trains other employees on processes and practices for food and customer service.
• Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's / policies and applicable laws.
• Provides direction to other team members for catering activities for the Food & Beverage Department.
• Responsible for consumption sheets.
• Keep linen cage stocked and cleaned.
• Ensure coolers are clean.
• Notify Manager when low on items such as lemons, creamers, coffee, etc.
• Other duties assigned as needed
