ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

These duties may include, but not limited to, centrifugal water chillers, fans, pumps, heat exchangers, compressors, automatic temperature controls (Building Automation System) for HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning) equipment, boilers, and supporting equipment.

The Shift engineer apprentice will assist in handling preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment inventory including but not limited to; operation and maintenance of low-pressure boilers and auxiliary equipment, air handlers, chilled water and heating coils, de-aerators, feed-water pumps, forced draft fans, water softeners, air compressors, and other job-related equipment.

Other responsibilities include a broad range of assisting with facility operation and maintenance of fans, pumps, air compressors, large tonnage air conditioning units, and boilers. Perform maintenance and repair of building heaters and central air conditioning equipment, boiler room maintenance and repair services with minimal supervision and document accordingly.

The engineer apprentice will safely perform and document all duties as assigned that include minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general maintenance assignments and repairs as per company guideline and procedure. The shift engineer apprentice will also perform other management support duties as assigned (examples, but not limited to -vendor tour support, mechanical room tours, record management and verification of asset inventories.

The Shift Engineer apprentice must report all operational deficiencies found during routine building tours, preventive maintenance findings, and service call issues to management and advise of a repair plan. Skill in reading and following blueprints and assembly instructions. The Shift Engineer apprentice will record all performed shift activity in the engineer's logbook.

If required, will perform job duties after scheduled hours and respond to emergency calls as necessary.

Estimated total compensation for this position:

41,600.00 – 41,600.00 ADP per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
