Travel RN - Telemetry - Stepdown

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown Cardiac Neuro unit, requiring a compact RN license and advanced cardiac and neuro care skills.

Job Details

• Position based in a hospital Stepdown Cardiac Neuro unit with 19 beds, including 8 designated Stepdown and 11 Med / Surg beds,
• Day shifts from 6 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM, 12 hours per shift,
• Patient population includes post-procedure cardiac (cath, stents, pacers, ICDs, ablations), STEMI / NSTEMI, carotid endarterectomy, sepsis, CVAs, seizures, possible TBI, and DKA,
• Day shift nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 5-6; charge nurse may take patients; Stepdown RNs will cover Med / Surg patients as well,
• First to float within skillset, potential to float to Newburgh, IN and Henderson, KY campuses with at least 2 hours' notice,
• Mid-shift float may occur within the same campus; cross-campus mid-shift float unlikely but possible,
• Weekend requirement : three weekends per six-week schedule; every other holiday required,
• Epic charting system used, recent experience required,
