Overview
This position will be responsible for performing transportation planning for maintenance and operations programs. The position requires both administrative and technical responsibilities. It is characterized by a specialized knowledge of planning for traffic related operations. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment but may require field investigation to support efforts. Exercises no supervision.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparation and maintenance of asset management, traffic, mobility, and safety plans
- Assists in the development of studies in support of new or updated plans, programs, projects, or regulations
- Reviews, researches, and compiles information on a variety of planning issues from multiple sources
- Interprets and applies applicable Local, County, State, and Federal codes and regulations
- Responsible for preparing reports, estimating costs, presentations, determining individual project needs
- Serves as liaison to coordinate plans, projects, and policies with other City departments and outside organizations
- Works closely with the public on transportation planning programs, requirements, or projects
- Responsible for working with operations and maintenance teams to compile asset inventory and condition data
- Monitors and communicates data into a format to allow for engineering analysis of life-cycle costs
- Prepares cost estimates and project needs
- Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (BA / BS)Two (2) years’ experience. One-year of traffic operations related experience.A combination of education and pertinent experience may be consideredLicenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements
