Traffic Coordinator
The Coordinator works with various departments and individuals in the organization to ensure materials and resources flow through the company in a timely manner. The focus is to drive the efficiency of truck driver flow in the warehouse yard. This includes directing truck drivers to staging lanes, getting trucks to dock doors and checking drivers in for shipping and receiving to name a few. The Traffic Coordinator must have good planning, customer service and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate problems and develop a plan of action to prevent delays in the organization's workflow. Additionally, at times, the Coordinator may work in a fast paced and stressful situation when warehouse activity is high.

This position requires the use of specific hardware and software. The Traffic Coordinator will utilize computer, phone and handheld radio systems to accomplish their daily tasks. In addition, the Coordinator will frequently use Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel.
Work Environment :
This position works in an office setting. Working in close proximity with peers and daily foot traffic.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger to type. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods of time throughout the day. Stand, walk, stoop and reach for items such as files or books at, above or below desk level. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, strenuous focus on a computer screen and ability to adjust focus. This position requires a person to hear and speak clearly to articulate work orders.
