Chief Technology Officer

Workforce Genetics is proud to lead the executive search for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on behalf of a rapidly scaling, confidential medical device company developing a next-generation platform.

This pivotal role will drive technical execution, regulatory strategy, and late-stage product readiness, positioning the company for FDA clearance, commercial scale-up, and long-term platform expansion.

What You’ll Own

• Oversee execution, manufacturing scale-up, and supply chain for a Class II medical device
• Lead regulatory strategy and FDA engagement, with experience in de novo pathways strongly preferred
• Align technical, scientific, and commercialization goals alongside the CEO and CSO
• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team to support the rapid expansion of the platform

What You Bring

• Background in implantable therapeutics
• Proven success leading FDA submissions for Class II medical devices
• Experience with product execution at the post-R&D stage
• A team-first leadership style, with the confidence to steer high-stakes conversations and the humility to earn trust
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in engineering or related field

Location

• Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to the DC/MD/VA area for onsite collaboration with the executive team
