Overview
A public sector client is seeking a System Software Programmer – Advanced to support the Application Development team within the Office of Technology. This role is critical to the migration of applications and data from a former agency infrastructure to new systems and will help maintain and enhance applications supporting water quality operations.

Key Responsibilities
Support migration of applications and data to new enterprise systemsDevelop, modify, and maintain mission-critical applications supporting water quality programsBuild, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries and stored proceduresSupport application dependencies such as invoicing and file management systemsCollaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure system stability and performanceProvide technical support and ongoing maintenance for production systemsParticipate in documentation, issue resolution, and enhancement planningRequired Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field(Relevant experience may substitute year-for-year in place of degree)
8+ years of experience with government IT projects as a software developer / engineer or related role8+ years of experience building and optimizing SQL statements and stored procedures3+ years of experience supporting Water Quality / Safety Information Systems (preferably in government)Working knowledge of ASP.NET, .NET, C#, HTML, and CSSPreferred Skills
Experience implementing / configuring / supporting systems such as SDWIS, WQX, SWIFT, DW–SFTIESExperience with Apache Tomcat and JavaExperience working / collaborating with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)Experience using service / help desk ticketing platforms and Microsoft Office toolsCandidate Location Requirement
