We are seeking a System Safety Engineer / Analyst to join our diverse and dynamic team. Your overarching role will be to ensure adherence to applicable safety policies and standards. You will use your experience and expertise to establish design criteria and requirements as well as to lead independent safety analyses, studies, and design evaluations of systems and software including :

• C onducting safety assessments and hazards analyses of hardware and software that entails missiles, rockets, launchers and related combat equipment.
• Prepare and / or update Safety Assessment Reports, Hazards Analyses, and System Safety Risk Assessments.
• Prepare and / or review System Safety Management Plans (SSMPs) and System Safety Program Plans (SSPPs) and related safety documentation.
• Conduct and / or review system safety assessments of new, updated, and / or modified system hardware, including change, waiver and exemption requests.
• Assess design and system test documentation for incorporation of system safety related requirements and assess test data to verify system safety requirements.
• Perform technical System Safety Reviews and develop required documentation for Government acceptance.
• Meet / coordinate with Government and contractor engineer, technical and test agency personnel, and Safety Office representatives to review safety related documentation, test reports, test data
• Review incident data and assess / coordinate safety implications and risk levels to users.
• Review contractor documentation for safety implications and support the development of inputs to Statements of Work and specification from a Safety perspective
