System Integration Consultant

Project Overview :
The Consultant will support client in defining, planning, and documenting system integration requirements for multiple enterprise and transit-specific technologies. This includes Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), HASTUS, Trapeze, and upcoming systems like Charge Management and Yard Management. The role will involve stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, interface definition, and technical architecture documentation to enable future implementation of integration strategies for battery electric bus operations and data systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead workshops and interviews with stakeholders from Planning, IT, Operations, Vehicle Maintenance, and Finance
- Review and consolidate findings from prior RFIs
- Define detailed functional requirements and use cases for system integration
- Develop high-level technical specifications, system architecture recommendations, and data flow diagrams
- Map real-time and scheduled data interfaces between systems
- Conduct gap analysis between current and desired capabilities
- Deliver consolidated documentation including :
- Functional and Technical Requirements Documents
- Integration Maps and Diagrams
- Architecture and Roadmap Reports
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in system integration, IT architecture, or enterprise systems planningDemonstrated experience with CAD / AVL, Trapeze, HASTUS, or similar public transit systemsExperience with electric bus charging infrastructure and / or transit yard systems preferredStrong understanding of enterprise integration design (data flows, middleware, APIs, security)Prior public sector or transit agency consulting experience is highly preferredStrong communication skills and the ability to lead cross-departmental workshopsProficiency in creating technical documentation and architectural diagrams (e.g., using Visio or Lucid chart)Regards,
