Job Description

A Director of Finance with Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale DoubleTree by Hilton is responsible for overseeing, directing and administering all financial operations of the hotel, ensuring outstanding guest service and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Direct and administer all financial operations including asset protection, financial reporting, systems management, hotel-wide budgeting, forecasting, department management, and participation in meetings.
• Ensure compliance with all Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Serve as financial advisor to hotel management and ownership.
• Monitor and approve all sales, purchases, salaries and expenses of the hotel.
• Assist and counsel department heads in interpretation and analysis of financial data, recommending courses of action to maximize profitability.
• Prepare annual plans, projections and budgets.
• Monitor and develop team member performance including supervision, professional development, scheduling, counseling, evaluations, and recognition.
• Recruit, interview and train team members.
