Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Social Worker role is available within a K-12 school environment in Howell, MI, covering the period from ASAP through June 4, 2026. This contract position offers an onsite schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 : 15 am to 3 : 25 pm, totaling 35 to 36.25 hours per week. The focus will be on a non-itinerant caseload supporting one elementary school building.

Key responsibilities include conducting evaluations for special education eligibility, delivering direct social work services, and participating in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The caseload will involve approximately 26 special education students and around 50 general education students, requiring strong organizational skills and a mitment to student advocacy.

Qualifications and experience :

• Proven expertise as a School Social Worker, particularly in K-12 settings
• Experience in conducting evaluations and determining Special Education (SPED) eligibility
• Ability to provide direct services to students with diverse needs
• Familiarity with IEP development, attendance, and pliance processes
