[job_card.job_description]One (1) year of experience in acute health care IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management) certification preferred Previous experience in sterile processing preferred Knowledge of surgical instruments and their use Knowledge of supplies and equipment used during sterile processing. High school graduate or equivalent preferred High school graduate or equivalent required Previous experience preferred Knowledge of surgical practices and medical terminology Knowledge of surgical instruments, supplies, equipment and their use Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) certification preferred
Works independently, performing all tasks related to the surgical instruments which includes the maintenance, cleaning and storage of instruments and sterile supplies. This position sets up trays and accounts for new instruments that are purchased.
