WPBF 25 the ABC affiliate in West Palm Beach Floridais looking for a driven community-focused digitally savvy Assignment Editor who thrives on breaking news and multiplatform storytelling. This is your opportunity to shape how our audience experiences the days top stories on-air online and on every screen. As the heart of the newsroom youll help lead the charge in newsgathering driving digital coverage and helping define WPBF 25s presence across web app and social media platforms. You will report to the News Director.

Responsibilities

• Monitor digital feeds for breaking news and story ideas across our market
• Lead digital content creation and distribution writing editing and publishing compelling accurate stories and social graphics for our mobile app and all social platforms (Facebook X Instagram Threads TikTok YouTube etc.).
• Send breaking news push alerts and live updates across digital platforms with accuracy and urgency.
• Produce and post short-form and vertical videos tailored for mobile and social audiences.
• Coordinate and communicate with field crews producers and digital editors to ensure seamless coverage across platforms.
• Manage story assignments and content flow to keep WPBF 25 first on every screen.
• Monitor trending topics community conversations and viewer tips to find the next great story.
• Uphold the highest editorial standards and ensure brand consistency across all content.
