Join our dedicated team at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Madison. This position is for a Full-Time RN in the Short Stay Unit, working evening shifts to provide exceptional care to our patients.

Schedule Details : This role requires a 12-hour shift from 11 AM to 11 PM during the week and 7 PM to 7 AM on weekends. As a 32-hour per week position, you'll also cover an 8-hour shift within the pay period, either from 11 AM to 7 PM or 3 PM to 11 PM based on departmental needs.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide direct nursing care as per established protocols.
  • Evaluate the quality of care and enhance the patient's quality of life.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans for each patient.
  • Facilitate effective communication among patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Educate patients and their families about health measures and care responsibilities.
  • Utilize evidence-based practice to meet age-specific needs.
  • Maintain a safe and alert working environment.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications :

  • Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Must hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to communicate effectively through speech.
  • Regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent use of vision, hearing, and smell for patient monitoring.
