The Division of Child and Family Services is recruiting for a Public Service Intern 1 - Full-Time, located within the Latency Age Day Treatment program located at 4530 S. Decatur Blvd. Ste. 201A, Las Vegas, NV, 89103. Public Service Interns receive training and complete a variety of assignments in staff activities directly relating to their major course of study while enrolled in an educational institution. Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. Latency age Day Treatment Public Service Interns plan and implement group and individual activities for children (ages 7-11 years) with social, emotional and behavioral concerns within a therapeutic group setting. Activities must be developmentally appropriate and relevant to the children's treatment needs. Public Service Interns complete daily documentation of each child's progress towards treatment goals and objectives. They prepare reports for each child in the program. Public Service Interns at times may be the lead facilitator in the Day Treatment setting. Employment is not to exceed six months from the date of graduation. Employment in this class will not lead to permanent status in State service.
