[job_card.job_description]Position : Driver Responsibilities : Timely Transport : Adhere strictly to the scheduled pick-up and drop-off times. Split-shift schedule with each shift lasting 1.5 to 2 hours. Safety First : Ensure that all passengers are safely secured in their seats with seat belts before driving. Assist Passengers : Get out of the van to help adults into and out of the vehicle, offering support and ensuring their comfort. Comfort and Care : Maintain a positive and supportive demeanor, making sure the environment within the van is welcoming and comfortable. Time Management : Demonstrate exceptional time management skills to ensure timely arrivals and departures, effectively balancing split shifts. Requirements : Valid Drivers License : Must have a clean driving record and a valid drivers license. Reliability : Strong commitment to punctuality and consistency. Compassion and Patience : Ability to provide emotional support and understand the needs of individuals with autism. Communication Skills : Effective communication skills to interact respectfully with passengers and coordinate with program staff. Physical Ability : Ability to assist passengers in and out of the van as needed, and ensure all safety measures are followed.
