Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist

Location : Greenfield, IN

Pay : $55,000 – $60,000 per year

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our manufacturing team in Greenfield, IN. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining plant safety and environmental programs that ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company standards. The right candidate will help drive safety culture, improve efficiency, and maintain environmental reporting accuracy.

Responsibilities :

Implement and maintain OSHA and EPA compliance programs.

Conduct safety audits, inspections, and employee training.

Prepare and file semiannual EPA reports, storm water reports, and air permit documentation.

Monitor environmental compliance for dust particles, waste handling, and emissions.

Assist in developing standards for ISO 14001 certification.

Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions.

Maintain accurate records of safety and environmental activities.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree. Equivalent related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum 2 years of EHS or manufacturing experience.

Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.

Experience with environmental reporting (EPA, storm water, air permits).

Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

CSP certification or knowledge of Lean Manufacturing preferred.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship).
