Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift assignment requiring active NY licensure, Epic experience, and specialized fetal monitoring certification.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
  • Assigned to Labor & Delivery D6E unit
  • Uses Epic EMR system, prior experience required
  • Navy blue scrubs are required
  • Local candidates from specified counties within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
  • Request for time off (RTO) must be submitted with application
  • More than three call outs in a 13-week period may lead to contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks
  • Only medical exemptions for flu vaccination signed by a licensed provider will be accepted
  • No blocked scheduling is allowed
  • Travelers may only apply to one position at a time and travel pairs are not permitted

    • Requirements

  • Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (NCC or Intermediate AWHONN) certification issued within the last 3 years required; proof of class registration may be accepted with certification due for compliance
  • Certifications must be issued by AHA or RQI
  • Epic EMR experience is mandatory
  • No work history gaps of 90 days or more in the last 12 months
  • US Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
