About the Role

Brenner LLP is seeking a credentialed and motivated Client Advisor to join our locally owned firm of more than 70 years. This is a growth opportunity for a mid-career tax professional who has already managed client relationships (And LOVED IT), and is ready to expand their portfolio in a supportive, mid-size firm environment.

As a Client Advisor, you will serve as the signing preparer for a smaller portfolio while also collaborating on larger and more complex engagements with senior advisors. This role is perfect for someone who loves working directly with clients, thrives on delivering excellent service, and wants more visibility, autonomy, and long-term potential than larger firms often provide.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as primary advisor and signer for an assigned portfolio of individual and small-business clients, delivering excellence in service and technical work.
  • Collaborate with senior advisors on more complex or multi-entity clients, ensuring quality and consistency across the team.
  • Lead client meetings, explain results, and offer proactive tax planning and guidance.
  • Prepare and review returns for your assigned clients with accuracy and care, maintaining high quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client service and streamline processes.
  • Contribute towards firm initiatives, training, and workflow improvements, supporting growth for yourself, your team, and the firm.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • CPA credential or EA, LTC (Oregon) (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or relevant field is a PLUS!
  • 5-10 years of experience in tax preparation and client service.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships independently.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative spirit with eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Desire to advance within a locally owned, supportive firm.
