Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room weekend night position requiring recent EPIC experience and proficiency across all major service lines.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital operating room with 10 ORs
  • Weekend night shifts : Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7pm to 7am
  • Call rotation required with one 24-hour call per contract during a recognized holiday
  • Patient cases include general, ortho, joint, urology, endo, trauma, robotics (Davinci), bariatrics, OBGYN, ENT, cataracts / retina, and c-section
  • Current EPIC charting experience within the past 6 months is required
  • Collaborative team environment with monthly staff meetings
  • Participate in a collaborative and positive team environment
  • Orientation consists of five 8-hour shifts
  • Hospital-provided scrubs are required
  • PTO for weekend option employees is limited to one weekend per quarter, with allowances for longer vacations twice per year
  • Holiday call is required once per contract during recognized holidays
  • Compliance documentation is due seven business days before the start date

    • Requirements

  • Active NC or compact RN license required
  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience with at least 1 successful travel assignment
  • Experience across all major OR service lines, including cataracts / retina, vascular (thrombectomy), and c-sections
  • Must be comfortable managing emergency situations
  • Proficient in robotic (Davinci) procedures
