An excellent opportunity exists within the Land & Air Defense Systems (L&ADS) Estimating organization. In this estimating organization, the employee will be responsible for the preparation of various types of proposals for development, production, and competitive contracts including modifications to existing contracts. In addition, the estimating organization supports gate reviews, government audits, and negotiations with the customer.

What You Will Do :

• Support the development and understanding of proposals
• Work with functions from across the company to develop the labor, material, and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts
• Utilize company estimating and pricing programs and tools
• Develop detailed bidding guidelines which are used to kick off proposals
• Provide estimating support for the development of Basis of Estimates to include validating and analyzing actuals, ensuring consistency within task descriptions, and confirming estimating approach is sound
• Prepare and present limited complexity Gate 4 charts for program / company leadership review of proposal information
• Ensure proposals comply with basic FAR and internal requirements
• Assess and formulate potential solutions leading to a thorough proposal submittal
• Ability and willingness to gain special access clearance to work activities as appropriate

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and / or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
