What You Will Be Doing:
- Active participant in case management, quote requests, slack channel and deal desk alias requests - consistently (95% of the time) maintaining DD SLAs on common requests. Carries proportionate load for the team in a self-sufficient manner.
- Quantitatively analyzes deal scenarios to advise on the best approach weighing customer needs and Elastic requirements on average to medium deal complexity. (Represents 75% of analyst deal volume.)
- Searches within resources available and identifies appropriate guidance/rules/process 75% of the time
- Asks thoughtful questions of both sales teams and management to expand knowledge - applies new insights to future cases
- Establishes relationships with AEs - 3-4 AEs regularly contact for candid advice and guidance
- Seeks management guidance for complicated deal scenarios (~5-25% of analyst deal volume). Works together to arrive at a sound path forward. Brings ideas to the discussion.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask during times of high volume while maintaining DD SLAs
- Maintains schedule flexibility during month end/quarter end
- Detail oriented, professional and open to feedback. Represents the Deal Desk in a positive way to field
Stretch/Mastery
- Manager assistance is infrequent (5% of the time) for medium-complexity deals.
- Effectively identifies appropriate and relevant guidance and properly applies it to deal scenarios (95% of the time)
- Actively syncs up with sales teams at a regular cadence and guides deals toward successful closure.
- Can maneuver to a clear outcome in ambiguous situations 50% of the time
- Begins to understand the “why” behind DD policies and rules and can effectively communicate when needed
- Begins to develop rapport with members of other operational teams outside of DD
- Begins to understand the impact of DD work on others
- Can recognize when a workload is too heavy and seek assistance
What You Bring Along:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related competency
- Proven 3 year of experience in Sales Operations, Channel Operations, Deal Desk, Contract Administration or related
- Strong attention to detail while multitasking
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and GSuite, Salesforce.com (CPQ a plus)
- Experience working in a SaaS or high-tech company is also a plus
