Second Shift Lead Heavy Duty Mechanic

BURNCO is looking to add a Lead Heavy Duty Equipment - Shop Mechanic  to our team in a number of our locations across Colorado . Reporting to the Fleet Maintenance Manager, the successful candidates will be responsible for the routine maintenance and repair of our Ready-Mix trucks while keeping our shop facilities safe and clean. Rate or Range : $31 and up for experienced mechanics

What You Will Be Doing

EXPECTED RESULTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

• Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing and electrical systems following specifications, and manuals
• Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunctions
• Ability to diagnose and trouble shoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Communicates timely and effectively with shop leadership to keep them informed about major problems
• May operate mobile equipment including service truck to retrieve down truck assets
• Performs daily preventative maintenance, record and inspection on service vehicle to include fueling, cleaning, tire / light inspection, checking and adding fluids as needed.
• Services pumps / motors as needed
• Perform welding, repair and fabrication
• Purchase parts for repairs as needed
• May make service calls at other BURNCO plants or job sites as needed
• Assist in training co-workers as needed
• Performs general clean-up of work area
• Required to follow all BURNCO policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as required
