The Role

Performs economic research and studies subjects such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, and financial and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and income statements. Prepares reports of findings and recommendations to management. Develops, maintains, and establishes operational specifications for financial information systems considering such things as information flow, volume, and document format for data processing equipment. May provide analysis on business development and may monitor business performance by unit or division.

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 8 years of relevant professional experience. One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications :

• NNS Apprentice School graduate
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
• Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
• High School / GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
• High School / GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

This is a senior level financial analyst position for New Construction Carriers Program Finance. The incumbent will be responsible for financial forecasting, cost reporting, profit / loss analysis, and other financial and analytical support for the Program. Preferred qualifications include :

Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment
