Security Officer Position

As a Security Officer in Merrimack, NH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food / Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and conducting patrols throughout a dynamic food and beverage location. Your presence and attention to detail help create a welcoming atmosphere, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and communication supports a positive environment for all employees and visitors. This post requires driving responsibilities as part of your duties.

Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $19.00 / Hour

    • What You'll Do :

  • Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and vendors.
  • Conduct identification and verification checks of individuals entering and exiting the premises, following site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Perform regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report observations, incidents, and security-related activities as required by site procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with location staff, Allied Universal team members, and local authorities as needed.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as directed by site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
