We offer competitive sign-on bonuses for full-time positions : $7,500 for Direct Care Respiratory Therapists with one year of experience and $5,000 for those with less than one year. We also provide a $1,800 annual tax-free student loan repayment and relocation assistance for those moving to South Carolina.
Key Responsibilities
Supervisory / Management Responsibility
This is a non-management position. You will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy school OR eligibility for licensure in South Carolina or senior students graduating within three months.
Required Certifications / Registrations / Licenses
Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in South Carolina is required, or eligibility for licensure. BLS certification is necessary. NBRC credentials must be maintained. Employees hired prior to June 2016 may hold Certified Respiratory Therapist status.
New hires from June 2016 onwards must pass the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam at the Registered Therapist cut score and the Clinical Simulation Exam within six months of graduation; failure to do so will result in termination.
NRP and PALS certifications are required in Children's Hospital prior to independent work in NICU and PICU.
Other Required Skills and Experience
Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Must be proficient in computer usage.
