Description

Gideon Hausner seeks a student-centered, organized, and compassionate School Health Coordinator to lead our health services program for TK-8 students. The Health Coordinator manages daily clinic operations, provides direct care, coordinates care plans for students with chronic conditions, and partners closely with families, teachers, and administrators to promote a safe, healthy, and inclusive learning environment.

The successful candidate will oversee medication management and state compliance, respond to illness and injury, develop individualized health plans, and provide health education and staff training. This role collaborates with Student Services, the Learning Support Team, and administrators to support whole-child wellness and readiness to learn.

Professional Qualities / Skills

• Warm, professional bedside manner with children and adolescents
• Excellent clinical judgment, crisis response, and follow-through
• Clear and timely communication with students, families, faculty, and external providers
• Strong organizational skills; meticulous documentation and confidentiality (FERPA / HIPAA awareness)
• Ability to educate and train adults on first aid, EpiPen use, diabetes care, and concussion protocols
• Comfortable with digital health records and basic data reporting

Salary Description

$40-$50 / hour
