Schedule : M-F, 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm
Assignment Length : Approximately 2-Months, possibly Longer.
DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a temporary Scheduler II to support the daily operations of our outpatient services department. This role is essential for coordinating patient appointments, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring smooth communication between patients, technologists, and physicians. The Scheduler II will help maintain efficient patient care flow while upholding the organization's mission, core values, and operational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate daily patient schedules to ensure smooth and efficient department operations.
- Maintain accurate patient medical records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with all rules and regulations.
- Use computerized systems to update records, schedule appointments, and address requests from physicians and clinical staff.
- Provide patients, families, and visitors with clear information regarding procedures, exams, and follow-up appointments.
- Answer phone calls routed through the department and provide courteous, efficient assistance.
- Assist with uploading and maintaining patient medical records for distribution to other facilities, physicians, and patients as needed.
- Support organizational expectations including Customer Service, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, Environment of Care, and other departmental initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the department.
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.Minimum of 2 years experience as a patient scheduler in an outpatient medical office setting preferred.Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.Proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to arrive to work on time and adhere to company policies and procedures.Positive and professional demeanor with patients, staff, and visitors.INDH
