Development Specialist
The Development Specialist will report to the Director of Franchise Development and work closely with our Construction Team and other internal business partners to develop new domestic franchised locations. This role will involve direct interactions with franchisees and their tenant representatives (brokers). The Development Specialist will lead and oversee activities from onboarding new franchisees, coordinating site development, managing data, and reporting performance throughout the organization, ensuring the timely openings of new franchised locations, which are critical.
A Day in the Life
Site Development :
- Collect data and complete site reviews to ensure optimal site selection.
- Work with franchisees to expedite site reviews and approvals.
- Lead project kick-off calls to ensure timely development of approved development projects.
- Track and support the New Center Openings (NCO) process, focusing on development milestones leading up to lease execution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Collaborate with the Construction Team to ensure timely openings of new locations and ensure a smooth hand-off after lease execution.Coordinate with multiple cross-functional partners to achieve site development milestones and all assigned tasks.Work closely with Field Training team to align NCO training schedules and pre-opening activities.Utilize FranConnect for communicating updates and results to the organization.Market Planning & Development :
Assist in the creation of new development territories, including market optimization initiatives.Support market and site validation, providing input to both internal and external partners.Franchisee Onboarding :
Support the Director of Franchise Development in onboarding new franchisees after territory acquisition.Manage direct contact and collaboration with franchisees and brokers to facilitate strong relationships.Franchise Agreements :
Assist Business Development and Legal partners in preparing Franchise Agreements before construction commences.Lease Management :
Read and understand LOI and Lease documents to support proper forecasting of new locations.Process Improvement :
Work independently and participate in the continuous improvement of processes.Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in development activities.What Sets You Apart
