Job Title :  School Age Child Care Site Coordinator

Reports To : School Age Child Care Director

Location :  East Syracuse Minoa School District, East Syracuse, NY

Salary Range :  $17.50 / hour

FLSA :  Full Time / Hourly

Work Schedule :  Monday-Friday 7-9 am and 3 pm - 6 pm plus admin hours

Position Summary :   This position supports the mission and work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization. Under the direction of the SACC Director, the SACC Site Coordinator will plan, organize, and lead a comprehensive thematic-based enrichment program for children who attend licensed before and after school programs. The SACC Site Coordinator assures the well-being for each participant in line with YMCA of the USA guidelines and association policies in accordance with their training. Salary and Benefits :

Essential Functions :

YMCA Leadership Competencies :

Experience, Education, and Qualifications : Education Experience Associate’s degree in child development, elementary education, PE, or related field AND Two years direct experience working with children under the age of 13 years, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity OR New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential Or School Age Child Care Credential AND Two years direct experience working with children under the age of 13 years, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity OR Two years of college with 18 credits in the above listed areas of concentration AND Two years direct experience working with children under the age of 13 years including at least one year in a supervisory capacity In addition to the above, preferred knowledge of and experience working with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical abilities).
