Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required

License : Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state / district

Certifications : STABLE, NRP, BLS required

Must-Have :

• Level III NICU experience
• Ability to manage vents, oscillators, and pressors
• Experience with micro preemies

Description :

Must live at least 50 miles away.

Shifts are from 7 PM to 7 AM, working three 12-hour shifts.

Candidates must have a minimum of three years of NICU experience.

Neonates are primarily admitted from labor and delivery.

The NICU patient population includes infants from as early as 23 weeks gestation to 4 months.

The NICU provides rapid response to neonatal emergencies.

Immediate care is provided to newborns post-delivery needing closer observation.

Nurses attend all C-sections and high-risk deliveries.

Conditions treated may include extreme prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, hypoglycemia, congenital anomalies, seizures, and meconium aspiration syndrome.

Services provided include noninvasive nasal CPAP and mechanical ventilation.

Nurses assist in bedside procedures such as peripheral IV insertion and intubations.

Septic workups and insertion of percutaneous catheters are also part of the responsibilities.

Parenteral therapy and administration of blood products are required.

Nurses will perform bronchopulmonary hygiene, medication administration, and monitoring of vital signs.

Parent teaching is an important aspect of care.

Most diagnostic services are provided at the bedside.
