Receptionist / File Room Clerk
The Office of the Norfolk Commonwealth's Attorney is dedicated to the principles of public safety, equity, honesty, and fairness. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Receptionist / File Room Clerk to join our team. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys providing excellent front desk service while keeping records and files organized behind the scenes.
Departmental hiring salary : $20.00 an hour. Work hours : Monday to Friday, 1 : 00 pm to 5 : 00 pm, 20 hours per week.
Essential functions include but are not limited to :
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, case management systems, and have a working knowledge of legal terminology, forms, and procedures. As a public face of this Office and of the justice system, people skills and a positive attitude are a must. Work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Level of knowledge equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency. No experience required.
