Description
The Garden Segment is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Accounting team based in Madison, GA. This position is responsible for maintenance of financial reporting of company results, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statements. The position also includes work that analyzes and evaluates the monthly financial results compared to the company’s budget and forecast.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and maintain financial reports
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations and journal entries
- Evaluate and analyze financial results
- Advise on any process improvement or alternative accounting treatment
- Account for company rebate, commission, and marketing expense programs
- Prepare special projects as required by management
- File and prepare sales tax, GST, property tax, and business license filings
