The Sr. Quality Engineer performs analysis, identifies trends, and implements improvements in Chandler’s operations. Identifies and eliminates supplier and manufacturing defects, non-conformities, problems or other issues affecting the quality or reliability of Chandler products. Also develops testing methods for use in analysis of company products and statistical techniques for analysis of test data.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical expert for blueprint interpretation, complex GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
- Define inspection strategies, measurement methods, and inspection plans.
- Troubleshoot complex measurement and inspection challenges.
- Partner with engineering and manufacturing to improve design and process robustness.
- Own FAI, PPAP, and control plan strategy for assigned programs.
- Supports external customer and registrar audits.
- Ensure consistent interpretation and application of quality standards and customer requirements.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for systemic and recurring issues.
- Evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
- Drive SPC strategy, capability improvements, and data-driven decision making.
- Lead waste reduction, standardization, and error-proofing initiatives.
- Act as a key quality interface with customers, suppliers, and internal leadership.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment and resolve conflicts constructively.
- Communicate quality risks, priorities, and recommendations to management.
- Influence decisions through data, risk analysis, and technical credibility.
- Lead quality planning and execution for multiple concurrent programs.
- Prioritize work based on risk, customer impact, and business needs.
- Manage urgent customer requests and complex escalations.
- Anticipate bottlenecks and proactively adjust plans.
- Demonstrate strong independent decision-making and ownership.
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, collaboration, and quality mindset.
- Drive strategic initiatives and contribute to long-term quality planning.
- Excels under rapidly changing conditions; manages multiple simultaneous changes without loss of quality
- Solves routine quality issues using standard methods; recognizes patterns
- Makes timely decisions with incomplete information; escalates only when necessary; accepts accountability
- Thorough in analysis; challenges assumptions; offers contrary opinions when data warrants
- Completes other assignments as requested.
Requirements :
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality assurance function within a regulated Manufacturing environment.Proficient reading, writing, oral communication, and comprehension in English language.Knowledge and working experience with MS Office, (Word, Excel, Power-Point, Project).Knowledge in the application of Quality Systems, ITAR / EAR, PPAP and AS9102 Processes.Advanced GD&T knowledge.This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All employees must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.Additional Skills and Experience (Preferred or helpful)

While the full range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.
