Collections Representative

TekSystems is currently hiring for SEVERAL Collections Specialists in the Tampa, Florida area! These positions are on site but they can start ASAP!

MUST HAVE : 1-3 years of collections experience (Any industry) or outbound call center / customer service experience or experience with high volume outbound calls!

Description

Their company serves as the gap between claims (health, workers comp, etc) and the law firms that are processing the cases. These individuals are collecting on what is owed, and they need help before year end.

They will be on the phones, calling their accounts to get collection on open invoices. They will be tracking these accounts through an Excel program. They will call the law firms or the insurance carriers to ask for the money owed from their work. The more experienced ones will be attached to larger accounts with more money, others to more accounts but for lower volume.

They will be calling the point of contacts for these accounts, adjusters, claims managers, anyone who should be paying for it.

Out of the gate, the person must be comfortable speaking with the customer on the phone. It is B2B collections, but they need to be persistent, calling the accounts every 2 days. They will have scripts and email templates, but they will need to adapt on their follow ups and be specific. Asking specific questions like "If you are sending a check, how much? What is the check number? When are you mailing it? If you need me to get back to you, what date can I follow up? If this wasn't meant for you, then who is it specifically meant for? What is their name and contact information?"

They will have to do a lot of invoice research, looking at details in the accounts, which puts them at needing to send out 20 emails a day with info to their accounts, and making 3-10 calls a day to track them down. Their KPIs are going to be on activity, not the amount collected.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00 / hr.
