Neonatology Physician

Neonatologist Physician Locums Job in Arizona Seeking Full-Time or Part-Time Coverage ASAP Start and Ongoing

Coverage Needs :

Full-Time or Part-Time, ASAP start and Ongoing

Monday - Sunday, 7-10 consecutive days

o 8 : 30am-2pm : in-house, rounding

o 2pm-5pm : BREAK

o 5pm-8am : night call (unrestricted)

Assignment Details / Requirements :

Responsibility :

o Responsible for in-house codes

o Will back-up for ED

o Will NOT cover trauma

o Writing notes, helping with admissions to NICU, attending high-risk deliveries, assisting with consults.

o NNP admits after hours and will discuss the patient over the phone. The attending on call will have to come in if less than 28 weeks premature baby. Any cardiac baby / neurosurgical / unit babies that are critical require night attending to come into facility.

o Will take nighttime incoming transport calls and arrange for transport and admission

Volume :

o 15 semi-ICU babies, 50% chance of being called in during Night Call

o Average daily census is 30-35

Team Structure : 4 MDs, 10 NPs

o Always 1-2 NPs and senior resident in-house at night

Facility Info : 38 ICU beds, NICU Level 4, receives transfers from lower facilities

Requirements : BC Neonatal, NRP certification
