Position Summary

The position supervises the day-to-day tasks of full-time staff and several student workers as well as manages other operational duties affecting registration, website maintenance, and daily office communications. The position troubleshoots escalated student, faculty, and staff inquiries that are beyond the scope of expertise for Student Services Professional II level staff and student workers, including special requests from the Graduate School, Bursar, and Legal Affairs. The position oversees the daily management of both of the office email addresses, regsupp, which responds to questions and concerns from faculty, staff and administration and reghelp, which responds to questions and concerns from students, prospective students, alumni, and the public. The position is responsible for coordinating phone and walk-in coverage of the center throughout the semester and hiring and training service center staff and student workers. The position handles student registration time ticketing and term setup.

  • Hire, schedule, supervise, train, and mentor full-time staff members and student workers.
  • Ensure service hours are covered throughout each semester.
  • Conduct ongoing trainings as appropriate.
  • Prepare staff for upcoming peak times for efficiency.
  • Oversee the processing of enrollment verification requests and dean's certifications.

  • Analyze student records and interpret USG and University policies to troubleshoot advanced inquiries related to registration and academic history.
