ADS Engineer

Location : Ann Arbor, MI — Onsite

Full Time | Contract

$48–$52 per hour

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager in IVS, this role supports the department’s mission to design and evaluate the next generation of Automated Driving Systems (ADS) for vehicles.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Work alongside ADS development engineers to design ADS systems and software logic in C / C++
• Develop logic through requirement creation, logic confirmation / testing, and integration of safety concepts
• Lead the DRBFM review process to proactively identify and mitigate failure modes
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely task closure
• Maintain comprehensive tracking systems for internal action items
• Serve as a key liaison with external stakeholders
• Oversee software integration to ensure alignment with system and safety requirements
• Identify gaps in processes and propose sustainable improvements
• Hands-on coding responsibilities
