Overview
The Commercial Building Handyman is responsible for maintaining the physical condition and appearance of the site, including fixed and portable equipment, and ensuring a safe environment for the facility. This role supports the implementation and documentation of site safety plans and adheres to ABM Engineering operational standards, as well as site specific policies and procedures.
Pay : $33.75 per hour.
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Essential Functions :
Basic Qualifications :
Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance / repairs, including :Electrical (interior / exterior lighting)
PlumbingHeating and air conditioning systems (proper certification may be required)AppliancesCarpentry and wall repair / paintingWater irrigation systemsStairs, gates, fences, patios, railings, gutters, pool areas, tile, spa, pool furnitureFlooring (tile, carpet) o Fireplaces, ceiling fans, shutters, doors, cabinets, windowsDoor locks, P.O. boxes and locksWater intrusion repairsConcrete, masonry, roof, and fencing repairsPerform limited extermination services when requiredAssist with grounds work when necessaryProvide highest quality of service to tenants, staff, and visitorsComplete move-in / move-out inspections and ensure timely completion of work ordersMaintain accurate records of preventive maintenance and service requestsPerform routine preventive maintenance of equipmentInspect and maintain all tools in excellent conditionCorrect unsafe conditions immediately (e.g., broken gates, steps, open holes, burned-out lights)Participate in standby emergency schedule for evenings, weekends, and holidaysAssist in snow removal when necessaryMaintain regular and on-time attendancePhysical Requirements :

Related experience preferredEPA Certification required for handling refrigerantsKnowledgeable and skilled in safe use and maintenance of :Hand Tools : Wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, saws, etc.
Power Tools : Grinder, sander, drill, saws, etc.User-Moving Aids : Wheelbarrows, dollies, hand trucks, laddersMechanical Equipment : Basic knowledge of motor equipment such aspower washers, blowers, compressors.
