Job Summary

Responsible to Nuclear Generation for assuring that all procedures used by Maintenance, Operations, and all applicable departments, meet the requirements of I&M, AEPSC, and Regulatory Agencies policies and procedures. Please Note : This position is posted in a range, and an offer will be made based on the candidate's qualifications.

Job Description

What You'll Do :

Write and develop new procedures and changes to existing procedures as assigned.

Review plant documents for procedure impact.

Coordinate with other departments and organizations during procedure development and revision process.

Maintain associated procedure databases and records.

Participate in benchmarking and self-assessment plans.

Investigate and provide responses to condition reports assigned to the procedure section.

Perform other procedure-related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For :

Procedure Writer :

Education & Experience :

Associate's degree in Business, or Engineering / Nuclear Technology.

Or experience as follows; 6 years in a nuclear facility to include 4 years technical experience and 2 years as a procedure / technical writer.

Procedure Writer, Senior :

Education & Experience :

Associate's degree in Business, or Engineering / Nuclear Technology.

Or experience as follows : 8 years in a nuclear facility to include 6 years technical experience and 2 years as a procedure / technical writer.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS (APPLIES TO ALL LEVELS) :

Strong interpersonal skills.

Strong process improvement / analytical skills.

Effective writing and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated leadership ability.

Must establish and maintain a permanent residence within a 45-minute safe drive to the D.C. Cook Nuclear Plant.

Procedure Writer Range : $86,783 - $108,480

Procedure Writer, Sr. Range : $98,032 - $ 127,439
