Memory Care Specialist

About the Role:

We’re seeking patient, compassionate caregivers with a heart for memory care to join our Right at Home team. In this role, you’ll support clients living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia—helping them maintain comfort, routine, and dignity at home.

Description:

You’ll provide person-centered care designed around each client’s cognitive abilities and personal history. Daily tasks may include assistance with bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication reminders, and meaningful activities that promote memory and connection. You’ll also use gentle redirection and structured communication techniques to ensure a calm, supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

-Provide personalized support and reassurance for clients with memory loss

-Use validation and redirection techniques to manage confusion or agitation

-Encourage engagement through conversation, music, or memory activities

-Assist with daily routines and personal care tasks

-Observe and report changes in mood, behavior, or condition

Qualifications:

-Minimum 6 months of dementia or Alzheimer’s care experience preferred

-Empathetic and patient approach to caregiving

-Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred

-Must pass background screening

-Ongoing dementia training provided
