What You'll Do
- Programand run3-axisCNC Millsand CNC Lathesin a low volume / high mix workflow
- Operate other machine shopequipment such as a manual mill, bandsaw, shear, cold saw, drill press, etc.
- Machine complex components to tight tolerances in various materials with tight deadlines
- Use various inspection andmeasurement tools to validate your workas well as tracking and documentation of machining processes and results whennecessary
- Provide feedback to engineers, other machinists and programmers on design and process improvementas well asroot cause analysis and problem solving
- Maintain shop equipment asrequiredas well asmaintain a clean and organized workspace
- Participate in continuous improvement projects for the shop and Teslaas well asperform all assignmentsin accordance withEH&S and security policies
What You'll Bring
At least 5 years of CNC Mill programming experience-Haas CNC experiencerequired,DMG experience highly desiredDemonstrated experience with CAM software -MasterCAM,SolidworksThorough knowledge andunderstanding of engineering drawings, documents,and GD&Tas well asthorough knowledge in the use of measurement and inspection toolssuch as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, bore gauges, optical comparator, etc.Proficient with basic shop tools and machines (manual mill, engine lathe, drill press, bandsaw, belt sanders, hand tools etc.)Sheet metal fabrication - lasertable or waterjet, brake press, sheet metal hand tools are desired but not requiredExcellent verbal and writtencommunication skills with ability to develop and present technical informationCompensation and Benefits Benefits
