Job Title : RN Manager - Labor and Delivery

Location : Houston, TX

Schedule : Nights, 11 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM (5 shifts / week, including weekends)

Hourly Rate : $45 - $58 / hr (based heavily on experience)

Sign-On Bonus : Evaluated case-by-case

Relocation Assistance : Case-by-case basis

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager to lead a high-volume L&D unit at a premier womens healthcare facility. This role requires strong leadership in clinical operations, staff development, and patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will have recent acute care leadership experience in L&D and a deep understanding of best practices in maternal and newborn care.

Key Responsibilities :

Supervise and coordinate all nursing activities within the Labor and Delivery unit (15-20 beds).
Provide leadership, mentorship, and clinical guidance to nursing staff to ensure safe and quality care.
Monitor and analyze patient outcomes, staffing, and operational efficiency.
Partner with the Director of Women's Services to implement initiatives that enhance clinical performance and patient satisfaction.
Support performance improvement, staff education, and competency development.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.

Qualifications :

Texas RN license required.

3-5 years of recent acute care L&D leadership experience required (within the last year).

Bachelors Degree in Nursing required.

Certifications :

BLS (required)

NRP within 6 months of hire

AWHONN Fetal Monitoring within 6 months of hire

ACLS preferred (especially for cross-coverage in PACU, OR, ICU, or triage areas)
