Role Responsibilities
- Software Project Delivery
- Project requirements gathering, scoping, estimation, and planning
- Project execution to budget and plan, adhering to Agile methodologies
- Project risk mitigation and issue identification and resolution
- Business and Client Outcomes
- Ensure outcomes for business stakeholders and clients, via collaborative engagement
- Represent team in planning forums and own client expectations
- Deliver favourable outcomes for Coates Group and clients
- Become a trusted technology advisor to business stakeholders
- Solution Architecture
- Architect solutions in accordance with business and client needs
- Provide expert advice on technical aspects of projects
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Solution Quality
- Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices
- Manage code reviews and ensure adherence to codebase quality benchmarks
- Oversee testing strategies to ensure alignment to quality, functionality and integration requirements
- Continuous Improvement
- Implement improvements in processes, tools, and practices
- Ensure technical documentation relevance, accuracy and accessibility
- Optimisation of team resources - tools, infrastructure, personnel and time
- People Leadership and Development
- Set clear goals, expectations, and development plans for team members.
- Provide regular coaching, feedback, and recognition to drive engagement and performance.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain high-quality talent in alignment with organisational needs.
Role Requirements
Required :5+ years' experience in relevant stack (front end / back end / full stack) development3+ years’ experience in web solution designStrong communication and decision-making skills.Demonstrated ability to run team ceremonies, lead technical planning, and manage delivery commitments.Preferred :2+ years’ experience in people leadership or equivalent experience.Prior experience coaching, mentoring, or onboarding engineers plus.Bachelors of Computer Science or equivalent degree / experience.Join a Crew that Cares Be part of a global team of talented, ambitious, creative people that value integrity, individuality and inclusivity.
