This AS9100-certified facility specializes in high-precision aerospace fittings and components for critical defense and commercial aviation applications.
As the Manufacturing Scheduler & Material Controller, you will be the central communication hub ensuring materials, machined parts, and assemblies move efficiently through CNC machining, quality inspection, and assembly departments to meet critical aerospace program deadlines. Your coordination expertise will directly impact on-time delivery performance and customer satisfaction by identifying bottlenecks, resolving delays, and maintaining real-time production visibility across all work centers.
What You'll Do :
Monitor and facilitate the smooth flow of raw materials, CNC machined parts, assembly components, and finished assemblies through all production stages to meet manufacturing deadlines. Work directly with management to identify production shortfalls and bottlenecks, then plan and schedule needed parts while facilitating continuous improvement initiatives. Issue materials and components to specific jobs, ensuring everything arrives at the right work centers at the right time to prevent costly scheduling delays. Coordinate actively with procurement team and suppliers to resolve late, missing, or short shipments that could impact production commitments. Review daily and weekly production schedules to identify potential risks to meeting customer deadlines or aerospace program delivery requirements. Serve as the primary communication point between production supervisors, supply chain, procurement, engineering, and quality teams to ensure alignment across departments. Provide real-time status updates to stakeholders regarding parts availability, production progress, potential delays, and resolution timelines. Maintain accurate records in EPICOR ERP / MRP system including tracking backorders, open purchase orders, and critical part shortages. Analyze inventory levels strategically to prevent stockouts of critical aerospace components while avoiding overstocking that ties up capital. Support daily cycle counting activities and overall inventory management to maintain data accuracy and physical inventory integrity. Investigate root causes of material delays and workflow disruptions, then propose practical solutions to prevent recurrence and improve processes.
